1
Open the Branding settings page
Settings menu → Branding- Click the hamburger menu or scroll to the left sidebar
- Locate the 'Branding' option (it has a palette icon next to it)
- Click 'Branding' to open the branding configuration page
Tips
- Only owners and admins can change branding settings. If you don't see the 'Save' button, your role doesn't have permission to edit branding.
2
Set your company name and colours
Branding → Company & colours card (left side)- Type your company name into the 'Company name' field
- Click the coloured square next to 'Primary colour' to open a colour picker and choose your main brand colour
- Click the coloured square next to 'Accent colour' to choose your secondary colour
- Click the 'Save' button to apply the changes
What to enter
- Company name: The name that appears throughout the app and on customer-facing pages; defaults to what you entered at signup
- Primary colour: The main brand colour used for buttons, headers, and navigation (select with the colour picker; defaults to blue #2563eb)
- Accent colour: A secondary colour for highlights and secondary buttons (defaults to orange #f97316)
Tips
- You can see a live preview of your colours on the right side of the page under 'Preview'
- Your colours will appear on the mobile app, customer payment pages, and invoice approvals
- Hex colour codes (e.g., #2563eb) are accepted if you paste them directly instead of using the picker
Watch out
- The company name must be at least 1 character and cannot exceed 120 characters
3
Upload or set your logo
Branding → Logo card (left side)- To upload a logo file: Click 'Upload logo file', select an image from your computer, and wait for the upload to complete
- To use a logo URL: Paste a full URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.com/logo.png) into the '…or paste a logo URL' field and click 'Save URL'
- The logo preview appears in the 16×16 pixel square on the left
What to enter
- Logo file: PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP format; maximum 5 MB
- Logo URL: Alternatively, paste a direct HTTPS link to your logo hosted elsewhere
Tips
- Your logo will appear in the app header next to your company name
- For best results, use a square image or one with a transparent background
- SVG (vector) logos scale best and keep quality at all sizes
- You can switch between uploaded and URL-based logos—uploading a file replaces any URL, and vice versa
Watch out
- File uploads require storage to be configured on your Servtide instance. If it's not, you'll see a message to paste a logo URL instead
- The logo must be under 5 MB; if it's larger, the system will reject it
- Pasted logo URLs must be publicly accessible and use HTTPS (not HTTP)
4
Configure customer email sender
Branding → Customer email sender card (left side)- Enter the name you want to appear as the sender (e.g., your company name or a department)
- Enter the email address reminders, follow-ups, and review requests will come from
- Click 'Save sender' to apply
- (Optional) Click 'Send test email' to verify that email delivery is working
What to enter
- From name: The name customers see in their inbox (e.g., 'Acme Plumbing'); optional
- From email: The email address customer emails are sent from (e.g., hello@acme.com); must be a valid email address
Tips
- The sender email domain must be verified in the 'Email sending domain' section below for emails to reliably reach inboxes
- If you leave both fields blank, customer emails will use Servtide's default sender
- The test email is sent to your own inbox so you can confirm the sender name and formatting look correct
- You can change the sender at any time—future emails will use the new settings
Watch out
- The email must be in standard format (name@domain.com). Invalid emails will show an error when you save
- If your email domain is not verified (next step), emails may be marked as spam or rejected by ISPs
- The system requires the actual domain (e.g., acme.com) to be set up and verified before the sender email will work reliably
5
Verify your email sending domain
Branding → Email sending domain card (left side)- Enter your domain in the 'Domain' field (e.g., acme.com)
- Click 'Add domain'
- A table of DNS records will appear. Copy each record (Type, Name, Value)
- Log into your domain registrar or DNS host (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53, CloudFlare, etc.)
- Add each DNS record to your domain's DNS settings exactly as shown
- Return to Servtide and click 'Check status' to verify the records are live
- Wait for the badge to change from 'Pending' or 'Not verified' to 'Verified' (this can take a few minutes to a few hours)
What to enter
- Domain: The domain part of your sender email (e.g., acme.com from hello@acme.com)
Tips
- DNS changes can take 15 minutes to 48 hours to propagate globally; check back if 'Check status' says not verified
- You can add only one domain per workspace
- Your email provider (currently Resend) requires these DNS records to send emails from your domain securely
- Once verified, you can safely remove and re-add the domain at any time
Watch out
- If you see 'Email provider isn't configured on this server yet (no RESEND_API_KEY)' — DNS records will only appear once email sending is live; contact your Servtide admin
- If verification fails, double-check that the DNS records match exactly (including dots and formatting)
- Some registrars require you to wait before checking status; try again after a few minutes
- If you remove a domain, all DNS records you added become unnecessary and can be deleted from your registrar
6
Preview your branding
Branding → Preview card (right side)- Look at the 'Preview' section on the right side of the page
- You'll see how your logo, company name, and colours appear in the app header
Tips
- The preview updates instantly as you change company name, logo, and colours—no need to save first
- This is how your customers and team will see your branding in the app
7
Confirm branding is applied across the platform
Throughout the app and customer-facing pages- Return to the dashboard or navigate to other pages in the app
- Check that your company name and colours appear in the header and navigation
- Send a test job or invoice to a customer to verify that customer-facing pages show your branding
Tips
- Your branding is also applied to the mobile app (Expo app) used by your technicians
- Customer pages for payment approval and invoice review are fully branded with your colours and logo
Done when
- Company name is set
- Primary and accent colours are chosen
- Logo is uploaded or URL is set
- Sender email and 'From name' are configured
- Email sending domain is added to DNS
- Domain status shows 'Verified'
- Test email is sent and received successfully
- Branding appears correctly in the app header and on customer pages
